And just like that, silly season has rolled around again! Whilst this time of year is filled with lots of celebrations and socialising, for a lot of people it can stir up great feelings of dread and fear – especially for those of us trying to stick to certain health goals. The good news is that you can still enjoy this festive season whilst working towards your health goals.
How, you may ask? By being organised and having a plan! Map out your social occasions on a physical calendar so you can see what each week is going to look like heading up to the end of the year. From here you can schedule in your health activities (walks, gym, swims, etc.) and know which days you can commit to looking after your health. It can also help to figure out which Christmas events you plan on being a bit merrier at than others. This can help take the “all or nothing” approach out of the silly season and allow you to have a more balanced lifestyle!
