Club Tennis History

Our Tennis Club came into existence in 1993. Steve Miller (current club owner) was the sole coach to 22 local children. At that time tennis lessons cost just $4 a week! Each year the club grew bit by bit. As the amount of players grew so did the amount of coaches.

Since the start in 1993 to now the club has employed and developed over 100 professional tennis coaches. In 2011 the club won its first Tennis Queensland Award and hasn’t looked back since taking out another 5 awards and being nominated for many more. In 2014 the Club was nominated for Australian tennis Club of the Year narrowly missing out on the top spot!

Currently the club boast over 800 tennis participants, coaches in 8 local school and employs 14 coaches. The club strives to deliver industry leading programs and initiatives to help drive Tennis forward not only in Brisbane but in the Australia.

Since the club began we have delivered tennis to over 20,000 people in the local community.
