Melanie Quinn

My name’s Melanie  Quinn but I’m better know as Evil Barbee! I’m a fully qualified Personal Trainer and have worked at The Gap Health and Racquet for over 7 years. 

I believe I put the ‘personal’ into Personal Training! I love to laugh and I believe if I can make your training fun and engaging, you’ll keep doing it! Even when working in a small group, your program can be indvidiualised. I make modifications quickly and easily to suit my clients and my sessions are always different so you won’t get bored. You will always feel challenged, satisfied and energised. That’s what gets you results!

A sense of community and belonging is something very close to my heart, so I’m always inspired by my clients and their stories. For me there’s no better feeling than knowing I have motivated someone to get off that couch, start moving to make a change and take control of their lives. It’s an honour to watch someone’s confidence and self esteem grow as they improve and get closer to their goals.

I love that I’ve now reached a point in my life where I don’t want to be anybody else! I think it comes with age and the realisation that that I actually like the person I’ve become and absolutely love what I get to do everyday!

Come train with me and you will get the results you want.  I have been a trainer at the Gap Health and Racquet club for 10 years.  My background is in science so I understand how the body works at a cellular level and can apply the science to exercise to tailor a training program for your specific needs.
